How to filter the records on the Visitor Dashboard

This guide is to walk the reader through how to use the filter the record boxes on the dashboard.

  1. Accessing the Dashboard
    1. Navigate to the Visitor Module dashboard by clicking the Visitor Module button at the top of the webpage. This will take you to the dashboard. You only need to do this if you are currently in another module.



    2. If you are already in the Visitor Module, click the Dashboard option on the left-hand navigation panel.



  2. Filtering Visitors & Contractors
    1. To begin filtering records, locate the Visitors & Contractors box on the dashboard. n.b. This section does not include contractors created in the Contractor Module, but rather those who have signed in as contractors under the Visitor Module.



    2. Click the filter icon (shaped like a funnel) in the top-right corner of the Visitors & Contractors box.



    3. A new section will appear above the records.



    4.  The longer box on the left, labelled ‘Search’, allows you to search by the name of the visitor or contractor.



    5. The box labelled Status is a dropdown menu that lets you select between different record states: Signed In, Signed Out, and Expected. N.b. The default status shows all records.



    6. Typing a name or selecting a status option will immediately begin filtering the records.



  3. Filtering People On-Site
    1. To begin filtering records, locate the People box, which is about halfway down the dashboard. N.b. This section includes Staff, Students, and Regular Contractors who have signed into the system.



    2. Click the filter icon (shaped like a funnel) in the top-right corner of the People box.



    3. A new section will appear above the records.



    4. The longer box on the left, labelled ‘Search,’ allows you to search by the name of the student, staff member, or regular contractor.



    5. The box labelled Person Type is a dropdown menu that lets you select between different record types: Students, Staff, and Regular Contractors. N.b. The default setting shows all person types.



    6. Typing a name or selecting a person type will immediately begin filtering the records.



  4.  Filtering the Contractor Dashboard
    1. To begin filtering records, locate the Contractors box at the bottom of the dashboard. N.b. This section only includes contractors attached to a job from the Contractor Module.



    2. Click the filter icon (shaped like a funnel) in the top-right corner of the Contractors box.



    3. A new section will appear above the records.



    4. The longer box on the left, labelled ‘Search’, allows you to search by the name of the contractor.



    5. The box labelled Status is a dropdown menu that lets you select between different record states: Signed In, Signed Out, and Expected. N.b. The default status shows all records.



    6. Typing a name or selecting a status option will immediately begin filtering the records.
