How to edit a Wall scanner
This guide is to walk the reader through how to edit the wall scanner.

- To edit a wall scanner, click ‘Configuration’ on the left-hand navigation panel.
- Then click ‘Wall Scanners’.
- This will take you to the ‘Wall Scanners List’, the page will show you all your current wall scanners and their various states. If you want to edit a touchscreen, click the pencil icon in top of the wall scanner that you wish to edit.
- Depending on the scanner you have clicked, the options have changed. This guide will be focusing on the ELO I-Series 4. N.B. The guide can also be used for the other scanners.
- Upon clicking the edit button, an overlay page will appear. Here you will be able to give your scanner a name and a description.
- You can also enable sounds; this will create a sound when someone scans in or out.
- Additionally, you can show the date and the time on the scanner by ticking the ‘Show Date / Time’ button. This will show at the bottom of the wall scanner.
- Along the top of this page, you will have other areas that edited. Clicking on any these will take you into that specific section.
- In the message settings, here you will be able to change what messages appear on the wall scanner. Starting with the home screen message, this text box will display on the wall scanner. It is the same for the ‘Home Screen Additional Message’. You will also be able to preview what it will look like on the bottom of the page.
- ‘Custom Sign In’, ‘Custom Sign Out’’ and Customer Error Message’, these will change the message on the wall scanner when someone scans in or out. The error message will appear if it scans a QR code that its doesn’t know or cannot read. You can leave these blank and it will display a default message.
- Using the top button under ‘Styling Settings’, here you will be able to change the colour and the size of the text of the sign in and sign out message, as well as other areas.
- In ‘Image Settings’, you can set your wallpaper for the device, and this can be done in portrait or landscape. You can either browse for a file or if you have it open in file explorer, click and drag the file into the box.
- Click ‘Submit’ to save any changes.
- To edit a wall scanner, click ‘Configuration’ on the left-hand navigation panel.
