How to create a Visit Type

This guide is to walk the reader through how to create a visit type. 

    1. To create a visit type, use the left-hand navigation panel to select ‘Configuration’ and open the drop-down menu. 



    2. Then click ‘Visit Type’.

    3. This will take you the ‘Visit Types List’. Here you will be given an overview of your currently created workflows, such as what pass designs and workflows are assigned to specific sign in method. To create a Visit Type, click the plus symbol in the top right.

    4. A pop-up overlay will now appear. Here you will be able to start filling out the details of the visit type. Start by giving the visit type a name.  



    5. Then you can add a pass design using the ‘Design’ field and it will show all the created pass designs. Use the drop-down to select the pass design you wish to use.

    6. The next four boxes are where you can select which workflows, are for what sign in method. You can separate workflows depending on which sign in method they use.

    7. ‘Default’ will apply the selected workflow to all the sign in methods.

    8. ‘Web’ covers when someone is signed in by the portal.

    9. ‘Mobile’ is signed in by using their mobile phone. The workflow will appear on the visitor’s phone.

    10. ‘Touchscreen’ is when the workflow appears on the touchscreen.
