How to create a Student Absence
This guide is to walk the reader through how to create a student absence.

- To create a student absence, use the left-hand navigation panel and click ‘People’.
- Then click ‘Students’.
- With students you have three options of marking a student absent.
- You can mark a student as absent, and the absent record will show in the ‘Student Absence List’. To mark a student absent, please click the icon that is calendar with x that goes through it.
- You can also set the date that the student was absent from and too.
- You can then set the time, that the student was absent from and too.
- Using the drop down, you can select the reason for the absence.
- There is the option to leave a note on the record too.
- To save the absence record, click ‘Submit’.
- You can also mark a student as an early leaver or late arrival.
- Using the icon with the arrow pointing away from the bracket, this will mark a student as an early leaver.
- Use the icon with the arrow pointing towards the bracket which will mark a student as a late arrival.
- Choosing either will allow you to follow the same process. You will be able to set a date in which the student was either a late arrival or early leaver.
- Then set a time.
- Select a reason for the absence.
- You can create a note about the absence as well.
- When done click submit.
- To create a student absence, use the left-hand navigation panel and click ‘People’.
