How to create a Student Absence 

This guide is to walk the reader through how to create a student absence.  

    1. To create a student absence, use the left-hand navigation panel and click ‘People’.

    2. Then click ‘Students’.

    3. With students you have three options of marking a student absent.

    4. You can mark a student as absent, and the absent record will show in the ‘Student Absence List’. To mark a student absent, please click the icon that is calendar with x that goes through it.

    5. You can also set the date that the student was absent from and too.

    6. You can then set the time, that the student was absent from and too.

    7. Using the drop down, you can select the reason for the absence.

    8. There is the option to leave a note on the record too.

    9. To save the absence record, click ‘Submit’.

    10. You can also mark a student as an early leaver or late arrival. 
    11. Using the icon with the arrow pointing away from the bracket, this will mark a student as an early leaver.

    12. Use the icon with the arrow pointing towards the bracket which will mark a student as a late arrival.

    13. Choosing either will allow you to follow the same process. You will be able to set a date in which the student was either a late arrival or early leaver.

    14. Then set a time.

    15. Select a reason for the absence.

    16. You can create a note about the absence as well.

    17. When done click submit.
